Shopping with a Blanket Purchase Order

Blanket Orders

A Blanket Purchase Order can be used if you plan to make many purchases at the same store over an extended time.

Well, well in advance of your shopping season you will have to submit a Purchase Order Request Form.

1) In this case you will have to include the Store address, phone, and fax number.
2) In the "Special Instructions" section write that you want a blanket purchase order
3) and include an estimate of how much money you plan to spend.

I'll try to get the Business Office to set up the order. That should be all there is to it. In practice, however, there has always been some sort of nonsense to work out. Anyway...

Using your Blanket Purchase Order

Once you have your Blanket Purchase Order in place all you need to do when you shop is:

1) say "put it on my Acadia account" and COLLECT THE RECEIPT.
2) Fill in a Blanket Purchase Order Payment form and attach the receipt.
3) give the form and receipt to Adele.

If you fail to submit your receipt the store will not get paid. Unpaid store owners tend to get cranky and cut off lines of credit. Then what will you do?
